There are no maker's marks but it is clearly hand made in a rustic style. The shallow rectangular dish has a flat rim bearing the motto "The hurrier I go The behinder I get". The centre of the dish has a relief image of a kitchen maid with bonnet and apron, using an oven mitt to lift a saucepan from a black lead stove.
