Beautiful West German plant pot or 'cachepot' from Marei Keramik (Majolikafabrik Rheinbach Jean Fuss & Sohn). Marei is very well known for its planters and plant post, with this piece most likely produced in the late 60s, early 70s. The top of the pot has a gorgeous brown glaze, with a creamy white textured glaze to the bottom. The interior glaze is a very nice greeny-brown colour, which really compliments the brown. It features dark spots all over the vase, where the glaze has reacted to the heat in the kiln. Marked '11/1' 'Made in W. Germany' '23 11' to base. Measures 10.5cm tall, 12cm wide.
