Dark brown and beige sgriffato plant pot, most likely German, post-1970s. Good size, heavy pot, with great texture. Sgriffito is an Italian technique of laying different colours of slip, to then scratch away to different depths and reveal the colours below. Deep swirls cut through layers of beige and brown and show of the artistry of this handmade piece. Deep brown glossy glaze to interior. No markings to base. Measures 12cm tall, 13cm wide.
