This listing is for a early 20th century, circa 1930s, English Empire Ware porcelain pair of mantel urns. They measure 11 inches high and are 5 1/4 inches wide from handle to handle. They are glazed in a deep magenta red with square bases and a ovoid shape body. The urns have a tapered neck and scrolling handles on each side. The front of the urns have a Greek figural scene in a roundel with a white beaded border. They are further enhanced with heavy applied gold highlights throughout. They are marked on verso with a raised "ENGLAND". The urns are in excellent condition for their age, minimal rubbing to the applied gold highlights.
