It is backstamped in red for the Imperial Porcelain Factory established by Dmitry Ivanovich Vinogradov in 1744 and supported by the Romanov Tsars. From 1925 it was referred to as the Lomonosov Porcelain Factory after the Russian Academy of Science founder Mikhail Lomonosov.
