A very rare example of the highly collectable Lomonosov figurine, this porcelain figurine of a newborn goat (named “Vasenka the kid”) is presented in a white glaze and gold detailing and is in perfect condition, with its stamp of authenticity on the base. This particular figurine was produced between 1940-1950, and is prized highly by collectors of Lomonosov porcelain. The only other examples I’ve found have been located in Russia. Made in the LFZ factory in USSR, Leningrad by renowned sculptor Yevgeny Ivanovich Charushin, whose other works are as collectable on the antiques market. Heigh of approx 28cm.
