This is a large hexagonal planter in a really beautiful drip glaze finish which sits on 6 short feet. It has obviously taken a really nasty knock and lost a large piece from one side but I really do not want to take this to the dreaded skip. Despite there being no identifiers I am convinced this is a 1930s Wardle. It has the shape, the correct feet and a classic pink internal glaze. The drip glaze to the outer is typical of Wardle and even the underside is fully glazed. It is 21cm (8.5”) tall with a rim of 21cm when measuring from parallel sides. Even with the damage it must be better than a Chinese import from B&Q.
