For sale is a superb scenic lidded urn / vase made by one of the so called Royal Vienna makers in the late 19th century . The piece is hand painted with two superb scenes - one on the front and one on the back as well as the typical Vienna type gold designs on a reddish colored ground all around. The urn sits on a nice pedestal to give it some extra height which is nice! Both scenes are hand painted, signed A. Herr and their titles are on the underside. The scenes are titled Amor wird Entwaffnet ( Amor disarmed ) and Adonis und Nymphe in black. Very good quality and a decorative piece that is rarer than the plates and much nicer I think. The piece is marked with the beehive or shield mark underneath as shown. It is 9 inches tall (including the lid), 4 inches wide and 3.875 inches in diame.
