His studio was in Ohio, and he coined the term Ferro - stone for his ceramics due to the red Clay mined in Ohio, which had a high iron content, allowing for a russet brown undertone to the pottery . Most items I cannot give an exact date to, but his studio was open from the 1940s until the 1990s when he passed away.
