Antique carnival glass bowl made by Fenton Glass Co. Fenton began production of carnival glass in 1907 and continued production until the late 1920s. This example has a cobalt base color. The bowl has a basket weave pattern and a double open lace ruffled edge. The surface is so highly iridized that it is difficult to see the cobalt base unless you look at the bottom. Measures 2-1/2" tall and has a diameter of 5-3/4". In excellent condition with no chips or cracks. Evidence of "straw marks" in the interior of bowl--a remnant of the manufacturing process.
