This is a scarce vintage mid century ceramic ashtray featuring an image of an old inn. The inn is the Warford Arms in Mobberley, Cheshire, more commonly known by the curious name of The Frozen Mop. The ashtray was made by Simpson's (Potters) Ltd. in Staffordshire, from their Solian Ware range and has a full backstamp on the base. The image is in blue on a creamy white ground. In very good condition with no chips or cracks. Measures approx 5.1" in diameter and 1" deep.
