This is a charming vintage studio pottery stoneware money box. It was made by Gérard and Lyn Grant at Fangfoss Pottery, York and has their impressed pottery mark on the base. The money box is made in the form of a comical tortoise wearing a flat cap and is hand painted on the cap and shell. The money slot is on its back and it has a nylon stopper in the base. In very good condition with no chips or cracks. Measures approx 6.5" long, 3.5" wide and 3" high.
