The vase is finished in a spectacular high-gloss metallic lustre glaze. The colors shift between deep oxblood red, rich burgundy, and plum, detailed with dark, smoky iridescent patches that catch the light beautifully. The interior is fully glazed in the same deep crimson color. The underside of the foot ring features a clean, hand-incised artist's monogram mark (appears to be a stylized W, M, or MW).
