A striking piece of studio pottery, a weighty bottle-form vase with a bulbous body tapering to a slender neck. The glaze is the real star here — a rich treacle-brown pooling into deep blue-black tones, with beautiful running and streaking effects typical of hand-thrown studio work, including natural glaze pooling and pin-holing to the base, characteristic of the firing process rather than damage. Incised to the base with the potter’s initials, maker currently unidentified. Measures approximately 13cm tall x 10cm wide. In excellent condition, no chips or cracks. A wonderful tactile piece for anyone who loves hand-thrown studio ceramics and rich, atmospheric glazes.
This product would be a great fit for those looking to add vintage flair to their home or craft collection.
