Made in the UK, pressed glass ‘brides basket’ with saw toothed rim to the central bowl. Leaf design to the chrome basket. Believe this Sowerby item dates back to the 1950s Condition/description: Good condition for age, with no damage to the glass. Chrome basket would probably benefit from a shine/polish. Some visible chrome spotting on the side of the handle as is often seen in vintage chrome (see pic 7 for closeup, or 4 for distant view). As shown in the photos the two parts can combine/detach for use and cleaning where wamted. Clear glass, sometimes with a green tint (dependent on lighing conditions). Dimensions: Around 16cm wide, 27cm long and 22cm high. A traditional gift for a bride’s wedding day, and now also a vintage display piece (and future antique)
