Interesting piece of pottery found in Katy, Texas. It is from a well known potter from Talent, Oregon who happened to be mayor of that town from 1990-2006. Her name is Marian Telerski. She held a Master in Fine Arts (MFA) in Ceramic Arts from Ohio State University in 1968. She was also an active member of the Southern Oregon arts scene and Clayfolk Potter's Guild. This luminary is created with a lip in the base to hold and keep the votive or tea light candle in place. Very well crafted. No chips, cracks or repairs. Weight is 15.9 oz. Measurements : 4"H x 5" diameter at base and 3 7/8" diameter at top.
