Rare Vintage Shelley China ashtray picturing a WWII Royal Canadian Air Force Crest and plane. The plane appears to be flying over a bay near a mountain range. Nice artwork. This was made by Shelley for Eiler’s Jewellers of Chicago. Eiler’s was a well known jeweler on jewelers row in downtown Chicago in the 1920 to 1950 era. It is possible they commissioned this as a unique piece for their store. You may not see another one of these. It has some condition issues but is still a wonderful old piece of Shelley with a unique connection to WWII.
