A fine example of vintage 1960's English pottery from Sadler, Staffordshire England, who sadly went into receivership in March 2000. This is a much bigger size Ginger Jar than was commonly made by Sadler, and all the more rare. Vintage condition is excellent. The pearlescent decoration shimmers in multiple colours in daylight, and fair takes the breath away in sunlight. The Japanese exotic birds are exquisitely painted. Rest in peace, much missed Sadler Pottery.
