For sale we have a vintage Doulton Lambeth stoneware vase by Bessie Newbery. The decoration consists of a thick, glossy glaze graduating from blue to mushroom and brown. It is very art nouveaux in style and shape. It dates to the early c20th and has impressed BN, Doulton and 7403 backstamps. It measures 21cm high and 10cm in diameter at its widest. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or restoration. There are a few surface scratches and a couple of underglaze pimples of clay.
