Vintage 1991 handmade by Richard Sanderson of Toad Hill Pottery NH studio art pottery lidded casserole dish, also frequently referred to as a stoneware soup tureen or a bean pot. Excellent condition, never used. This wheel-thrown piece is crafted from durable stoneware clay and features an off-white or cream-colored base glaze accented by a distinct, hand-applied cobalt blue horizontal stripe. Key design details include integrated side lug handles for easy lifting, a nested lid with an arched loop handle, and structural horizontal ribbing across the outer body. Pieces like this were commonly produced by studio artists during the late 20th century.
