Vintage hand-painted ceramic swan planter, made in Portugal. Marked 1562 with the Made in Portugal stamp to the base. Traditional Alcobaca-style floral decoration - blue pansies, ochre plumage, soft green leaves and berry sprays, all hand-brushed, so no two pieces are ever quite identical. Lovely as a jardiniere, cachepot or dried-flower holder. Approx 20cm tall x 18cm long. Condition: good vintage. Crazing to the glaze in places and some light staining inside the well (both shown in the photos). No chips or cracks found.
