Vintage terracotta figurine hand sculpted by Italian artist Paolo Grasso (1876-1957). Grasso was known for his detailed terracotta figurines depicting Italian life. This fisherman repairing his net is very detailed. This piece originated in Riposto near the eastern shore of Italy, and was most likely sculpted between the 1930's-1950's. The sculpture was purchased while traveling in Italy after Grasso's death. The figurine is approximately 6" tall. There are no cracks, chips or defects.
