A beautiful example of a horse sculpture from the island of Murano, expertly hand crafted in an appealing fiery orange and amber sfumato style, cased in a crystal clear. It is difficult to date this horse or attribute it to any particular furnace as it is unlabelled, and this style has been made for a number of years. Condition is excellent with no damage or surface marks. There is a sharp broken pontil mark on the base, this is common and the edges have been smoothly polished. Please refer to photos.
