This is a vintage Mid-Century Modern (MCM) ceramic statue artistically depicting a long-necked crane, heron, or swan captured mid-motion as it takes flight. It has been meticulously hand-painted with a textured faux-bois (fake wood) grain finish. That finish has lovely swirls and psychedelic patterns. It stands about 19 inches tall and measures roughly 6 inches at the base and 4.25 inches from wingtip to wingtip. It weighs close to 3 pounds. Highly sought after by collectors of vintage MCM home accents. It is in very good shape, with a few tiny white dots where the finish has come off, and a few rough areas that are either from the manufacturing process or repairs done well.
