For sale we have an unusual pottery lidded box in the shape of two swans showing their heartfelt and heart shaped love for each other. It is made from white clay and has lots of detail. It probably dates to the mid c20th and has a partial printed mark in blue that looks Continental, possibly by Capodimonte. It measures 19.5cm tall, 29.5cm long and 20.5cm wide. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or restoration. There is some spaced out crazing, some minor firing flaws including a short, underglaze tear to the base rim and some underglaze lumps of clay. There is a small gap on one side where the two pieces meet.
