A vintage Chinese ginger jar, hand painted in a soft palette of pink peonies, blue iris and small blue forget-me-not style flowers on a cream, matte ground, with matching decoration carried onto the domed lid and its teardrop finial. Marked Made in China on the base, alongside a small red diamond device mark. In good condition with no chips or cracks. There are some age related marks, including a small red mark to the body that looks to be a glaze imperfection from firing rather than damage, please see photos for full condition.
