This is a vintage studio pottery tile created by John Wenzel of John Wenzel Clayworks. Handmade in the 1970s, these tiles are crafted from specially formulated stoneware clay that was heat-treated to 2,300 degrees for extreme durability. Wenzel is well-known for his "sun face" and "moon face" designs, which often feature whimsical facial expressions and bold geometric patterns. Artist: John Wenzel.
