A beautiful and rare example of early 20th-century British art pottery. This elegant candlestick features a hand-painted pink rose with trailing white stems and green leaves, set against a dramatic matte black ground. It was crafted by Grimwades Ltd (the makers of Royal Winton) at their Stoke-on-Trent works. This item is from the “Elsie Collection,” a group of ornaments gathered over many years during RAF life and travel. Elsie had a fondness for elegant and calming pieces, and this was displayed along with many other unique pieces. Please check pictures for condition and signs of wear.
