The hand decorated ashtray was manufactured by Gladding McBean Co. in California. Based on the maker’s mark on the bottom, this piece was produced from 1953-1958. Franciscan Desert Rose is a beautiful earthenware pattern featuring hand-painted pink flowers, green leaves on a cream background, and brown branches gracefully forming the trim.
