A vintage cut glass egg in cobalt blue with matte gold decoration painted into the cut areas. The glass is a beautiful, deep cobalt blue coIor, darker than in the photos, which I lightened to better show the details. The decoration shows the monogram for Russian Tsar Nicholas II topped with a crown on one side, and on the other is the double-headed eagle emblem. On the sides of the egg are elegant leaf scrolls. The egg is about 2-1/2" tall. On the bottom is a small drilled hole, apparently for setting onto a stand (not included). It sits just fine on its own, and is in excellent shape.
