This dramatic statement piece of mid-century modern ceramics was made in Canada during the 1970s by Blue Mountain Pottery (BMP), using Canadian Red Clay (evident on the underside ring). It is their highly sought after, over-sized ashtray. It would make a bold design statement in any home. This piece features Blue Mountain Pottery's iconic mid-century reflowing drip glaze. The vibrant jade green and emerald tones beautifully bleed into deep cobalt blue and obsidian black accents under a flawless, high-gloss vitreous finish. The piece measures approximately 9 inches (23cm) across at its widest point and stands 4cm off the surface. It weighs around 676 grams.
