Vintage 60s Raymonde Leduc VALLAURIS French Ceramic Tile Signed 6" x 6" Used Vintage Condition - GOOD. Flea bite chips along the egdes. Crazing with no discoloration. Raymonde Leduc, born in 1929, was a ceramicist famous for using the plants of Provence's garrigue to inlay the decoration in her pieces. Leduc was a student of the master artist from Vallauris, France, Roger Capron. Daughter of Louis Giraud (1897-1985), ceramist in Vallauris, Raymonde Claire Micheline Giraud was born on June 21, 1929. She worked for a long time at Cerenne, then a large “Tout Carrelage” factory in the industrial zone of Vallauris, which closed in 1984. She died in Mouans-Sartoux on October 24, 2019, at the age of 90.
