In 1939 Bruno BARATTI, after having worked since the age of fifteen at the Pesaro factory "Ciccoli Ceramiche" owned by Pietro Ciccoli, opened his own workshop in Pesaro, in via Condotti. From the kiln, in which he worked alone until the post-war years, ceramics and majolica emerged, including some unique pieces, with a modern taste and full of creative flair. In 1942 and 1947 the factory placed first in the Faenza competition. From the second half of the 1940s the laboratory was attended by numerous talented young students including Gian Battista Valentini, Renato Bertini, Auro Salvaneschi, Mario Terenzi, Romolo Verzolini and Ferruccio Marchetti. In 1957 the company opened a second laboratory in the premises of via Collenuccio 22 in Pesaro. In 1958 he collaborated with the Antonio Lani man.
