Originally this was a European exclusive, and the USA market had a squirrel, identical to this one, except that it had smaller/shorter ears to represent the grey squirrel, whereas this version represented the red squirrel. The USA version was withdrawn from production in 1994, and from that date this version of squirrel was available globally.
