This handcrafted pottery bell from Maui, Hawaii features humpback whales in the North Pacific. The bell stands at a large 5 inches tall and 5 inches in diameter. There are small holes around the bottom perimeter to increase the resonance of the bell sound. There is a stamp of authenticity on the inside dome. A leather cord knotted to the top allows the bell to hang securely. Humpback whales, known as koholā in Hawaiian, migrate to the Hawaiian Islands each year to breed, give birth, and raise their young. The Hawaiian Islands Humpback Whale National Marine Sanctuary protects these whales and their habitat in the islands' shallow waters. No cracks or chips
