Staffordshire pottery vintage group figure representing the biblical characters of the prophet Eli and the young boy Samuel. On an oval base with labelling by the maker, c1861. Please look carefully at the images. Plain back, glazed but unpainted. No cracks or repairs. Small areas of loss of paint on Eli’s shoe, his purple/crimson sash and just below the letters U and E on the orange inscription on the white base, SAMUEL & ELI. A tiny splodge of the original olive green paint is also present to the right of the inscription. About 11.5 inches tall. UK only, no returns.
