The Sailor: A sea captain or yachtsman dressed in a classic black peacoat and skipper's hat, sitting relaxed on a cobblestone seat.The Parrot: A vibrant, brightly coloured parrot (often described as a macaw) perched directly on the sailor's left shoulder.The Narrative: The sailor holds a small piece of an apple (taken from an open bag resting between his feet) to feed to the bird, with a traditional parrot cage beside his feet.
