Modelled by Mary Nicoll this is Royal Doulton HN2417 'The Boatman 'Skylark'. It was produced between 1971 and 1987 depicting a sailor seated on a wall painting the name of his boat on a lifebuoy. He is 16.5cm tall (6.5"). Mary Nicoll lived in Devon and took her inspiration from her surroundings.
