An impressive, large Royal Delft Bowl. Made in 1948. Painted in the ubiquitous blue and white of Delft , Netherlands. This is a large bowl with dimensions 30cm diam and 14cm depth. Historically made to be decorative items that would sit on top of cupboards. Magnificent blue flowers and birds copying Chinese styles. A practical object which could be used as a punch bowl or large salad bowl. In very good condition no cracks. Some crazing Due to age. one very small nibble chip on foot. A very special piece of porcelain. Marked typically with Royal Delft hand painted mark with date mark C.S. for 1948.
