The otter's spiritual significance is playfulness, joy, good fortune and adaptability as the otter is frequently seen playing on slides or with stones whilst encompassing dedication to family (otters mate for life, keep young with them for at least a year and will hold paws with their "spouse" whilst sleeping on their backs).
