ROYAL CROWN DERBY PAPERWEIGHT Up for sale I have this stunning 'Hippopotamus' from Royal Crown Derby. It is approx. 10.5cm/4.25 inches high and 20.5cm/8.25 inches long. This paperweight was introduced in 2003 as a limited edition, pre-release issue witrh gold backstamp and numbered certificate and this is one of those rare examples. It was modelled and decoration design by John Ablitt. The Hippopotamus comes with the original box and certificate, is 1st quality and has a gold stopper underneath together with the Royal Crown Derby gold, numbered stamp. I have examined the paperweight carefully and there are no chips, cracks or damage. I have checked it over carefully for any marks or lines in the original finish and added photos of anything i can see (nothing unusual). A very good example. The box has a little wear/marking.
