This is a Royal Crown Derby Waxwing paperweight. It is a fine bone china figurine, hand-painted with a multicoloured design and 22-carat gold gilding. The piece was modelled by Robert Jefferson and introduced in 1995. It was retired in 1998, though special editions were commissioned later, such as one for Sinclairs in 2006.
