This is a highly collectible Royal Crown Derby "Catnip Kitten" paperweight. It was a Collectors' Guild Exclusive piece, available only during its year of issue, 1997. The sleeping kitten is beautifully decorated in traditional Imari-style russet and blue colours, featuring the catnip plant painted in gold on its back.
