Reproduction Ibiza Museum Illa Plana Male Ovoid Ceramic Figure. This figure is from the 80s and was purchased in Ibiza. It is a reproduction of an original found in the Ibiza museum. These are rare and command high prices. This one is signed by “RA” and inscribed “Club Punta Arabi 1963-83” on the back. In good condition. These are believed to be by renowned artist Joan Planells Daifa. A great master of the Ibizan ceramic tradition, Joan Planells "Daifa" raised the ceramic trade to the level of art and he is the best example of self-taught, self-made artist. Joan Planells died in 1992 and even in his old age was creating some of his very large pieces.
