This is a stunning, quite rare hand painted early Fielding’s, Crown Devon, high lustre dish made at the Stoke-on Trent factory that dates, I would guess, to between 1917 to 1930. In a high sided dish form it is depicted with a stunning mottled ruby lustre ground glaze to its surface and decorated with fine hand painted images of butterflies with gilt outlining around the body, repeated again to the inner with a large gilt outlined Mandala type design to the base with butterflies circling.
