Acquired from a house clearance in the 1980s. The previous owner's family connection to one of the Broseley pipe and tile works provides an interesting and compelling history for the piece. Modelled in a charming naïve folk art style, the cat is seated with its tail curled around its body and finished in a rich mottled brown glaze.
