Peter Layton Signed British Studio Art Glass Purple Flattened Form. Unusual organic, flat form in deep purple glass with green flecks, etched signature on the base. Measures 7cm across & approx 3 cm high Peter Layton is one of the founding fathers of British Studio Glass. Born in Prague, 1937 he eventually opened The London Glassblowing Workshop in 1976 in Rotherhithe , then later to current premises in Bermondsey. His work is held in museums worldwide including the V & A and Fitzwilliam Museum, Cambridge.
