This is a limited edition "Birth of the World" glass sculpture, designed by the French artist Patrick Lepage (b. 1949). The sculpture is in the form of a globe in blue glass and oxidised silver resting on a plinth made up of frosted glass panels which spiral outwards in increasing size.
