Pair of adorable small ceramic sculptured figurines / figures. The seated pair, on a bench with a back, are cross-legged, looking ahead, and seem rather coy with each other. One carries a bunch of flowers and a plant is on the ground to the right. Very sweet and youthful and full of character with delicately painted clothes. Round base. The other figure, with blue long hair and also wearing a tall hat and a similar bow tie though with decorated shoes, is placed on a simple bench and holds an open book. Another item rests on a round table nearby, with a plant on the shaped base. Both purchased in Brighton about 16 years ago. Beautifully made, no marks on the base. Each approx 7mm / 3ins. Hand-painted? Perfect.
