At first glance, they simply appear to by a deep ruby red, but upon closer inspection, the golden amber hues appear around the edge of the base and throughout the thinner parts of the design. We were struck by previous experience with Amberina pieces and decided to shine a black light on the candlesticks with impressive results (as seen in the 2nd - 4th pictures).
